Fall is on it's way, and with the new season comes new cosmetics. Before you stock up on all the new fall looks, it's time to clean out your current supply of makeup. I have created this cheat sheet above so that you can easily see what you should throw out, and what can stay.
If your not sure when you purchased the products, keep the following in mind. Mascara starts to separate and become clumpier as it gets old. Eyeshadows and blushes don't hold their pigment as they get older so if the application is uneven, and the color looks greyish, it's time to throw it out. Lipsticks tend to smell funny and they don't glide on as easily.
Please, no matter when you purchased your products, if they smell bad, throw them out. Bacteria grows easily on cosmetics, especially if you share them. Old cosmetics can cause stys and other bacterial infections. NOT CUTE!
