The Copycats: Michael Antonio Toki Heels & Nicholas Kirkwood Pumps

I can't actually call the Michael Antonio Toki Heels a copycat of the Nicholas Kirkwood Pumps, but I can say they were strongly inspired by them.

We all know Nicholas Kirkwood for his intricate cut-outs, suede and leather combo and stacked bottom platforms.

So, its fair to say that the Michael Antonio Toki Heels are clearly cutting it close. Available in grey and purple, a 4" heel, and exposed zipper on the back. Accompanied by suede and leather, intricate cut-outs over the foot, and a stacked 1" platform, sounds a little familiar huh?

Just like others in America, I overstuffed during the beast of feasts known as Thanksgiving (hope you had a great one)...and passed out. Accidentally leaving a TV on, it wakes me from my Turkey coma (an hour ago) to Bravo's promo new Fashion-themed show, "Launch My Line". The plot is under the vid.

Acclaimed designers, twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared2 join "Launch My Line" as hosts, and fashion notables Stefani Greenfield and Lisa Kline serve as judges.

Each week the teams will be put to the test, as they have to rely on each other's expertise to get through the competition. Some teams form a natural connection while others have instant tension – but at the end of every episode a complete look from each team must walk the runway and be judged in front of a live studio audience.

Just when I thought I'd seen every strap and buckle boot, I get a nice surprise. I'm feeling the 4 1/2" heel taupe Dolce Vita Braxton Booties. They feature seam detail and 2 buckled ankle straps. There's a ball-chain trim on the thick wraparound strap and pyramid studs on thin strap. Surprisingly the Dolce Vita Braxton Booties have a stiletto heel which we haven't seem much of this season, but I like it nevertheless.

Am I the only person that is sometimes drawn to things because they sounds expensive? Dolce Vita is a classic example. The label is very moderately priced but by name alone, you'd think you'd have to fork over a ton of cash to afford it.

The Dolce Vita Whitney Boots are pretty sweet. They feature the all-important-this-season zipper detailing and a 4" heel. Even with the 4" heel, its chunkiness as it looks like they're pretty comfortable.

Alicia Keys & Fergie In Louboutins At The American Music Awards

Last night were the American Music Awards. *Yawn* The awards were less than amusing at times, but there were two standouts who were on point. And we wanted to acknowledge their efforts! So let's go!

I'm going to have to give 1st place to that homewrecker Miss Alicia Keys! She glowed and sparkled from head to toe on the red carpet in a modified version of Giorgio Armani Spring 2010 cobalt number. The jewel encrusted dress had an oragami pleat detail on the bustier of the dress and she wore a cute pair of Swarovski crystal embellished shorts under the dress. She didn't stop her wave of fantastic blue there, she capped her feet off with a smoking pair of cobalt blue Christian Louboutin Sandals. Miss Keys you better work!




Pop singer Fergie gave the red carpet some of her "Boom Boom Pow". She dazzled the red carpet in a Armani Prive' Fall 2009 black gown with an asymetrical zipper detail which stops at a dramatic but sexy front slit to show off some legs! *Owwww!* On her feet to finish the look are patent leather Christian Louboutin Pumps. Fergie gets two thumbs up on this look!

Dangerous Denim: Dolce&Gabbana Leopard Print Denim Pump

These Dolce&Gabbana Leopard Print Denim Pumps are a part of the 2010Cruise Collection. I luv how they have taken the leopard print shoe to new heights by adding denim to it, how fab right? This Dolce&Gabbana Leopard Print Denim Pump has a 5" glossy heel with a 1/2" hidden platform. The shoe is casually chic and incredibly sexy. I haven't always been a huge fan of leopard prints, but as of late I am drawn to them. Guess that's the inner sexy kitten in me clawing its way out *giggle*. I wouldn't recommend trying to wear these pumps with a denim jean, it would be far too tacky. I would say a short mini skirt or of course the ever so versatile leggings. I follow a very small number of celebrities/reality show celebs on Twitter. I mainly follow those who are all about showcasing their style - which I love btw. Heidi Montag twitpic'd the image below as she was getting glamed up for her Regis & Kelly appearance. The caption, "Like my fancy sock?!". I think fancy is an understatement.

The Miu Miu Embellished Cotton Knee Socks, in black and priced at $435 via Net-a-porter, are currently sold out. My question: exactly how many people are walking around with $435 socks...and what does the rest of their outfit look like? I think they're cute and if gifted, I'd certainly wear them. Fashion Bits: eBay To Launch Fashion Webzine

Interestingly enough, eBay has launched The Inside Source, an online magazine that will focus on fashion trends, interior decor and home and garden. The webzine will target trend-savvy, fashion-forward shoppers who might not consider the auction website "the thing to do". I've never been an eBayer, so I look forward to seeing where they go with this.

In an effort to revamp their image, eBay hopes to show this audience that eBay is the place to pick up great "flea market chic," vintage duds and high-end antiques by making available avenues through which to find these goods. According to the site's editorial director, Meredith Barnett, the target shopper is someone "who is sophisticated, has a sensibility about fashion and lifestyle and may be familiar with eBay, but maybe not the full extent of everything it has to offer."

Somehow I've never linked fashion- forward to eBay but I could be totally wrong here. For the eBay fanatics, do you guys find good things there? What's been your best/favorite purchase? Do you find that you get better deals? I want you all to give me the scoop because I don't like to miss out on a deal.

My mom and I was out in one of the shoe heaven's, DSW this weekend and they had one heck of a sale. I went in for a tall black pair of boots, some flat grey boots, and a brown pump. I got neither of the three, but I did snag these smokin Cindy Pumps. I normally walk down the different direction of fashion, let my mom tell it, and when she saw my pick she pronounced my shoes as *gasp* "ugly". I paraded up and down the aisle with them on, after I gave her the run down on the endlesss possibilities of how I would wear these and what I would wear with them to show case the ostrich, 10 or so minutes of me ranting she says "yea, maybe they are cute" *giggle*.

Anywho, so these are my new babies. The Cindy Ostrich Pump, it has a leopard print calf hair upper with a round toe. But my absolute favorite part is the heel! The ostrich embossed 4.5" heel gives these shoes LIFE hunny! I was instantly in luv! My mom "So how much are they?" I said "Well they are originally $125, with 40% off" She says "Well that doesn't beat these $35 grey Nine West Pumps I am getting". We get to the register and the shoe fairies were traveling with me. The shoe was in the wrong box and after the discount they were only $31.79. My mom quickly says "You want me to get those for you for Christmas" HA! She wish she could get off that easy! So do you like my new pumps?
